CULTURE

Our company culture is driven by our values including our commitment to serve clients with a Can-Do Spirit – to work collaboratively as a team with each client and architect to deliver a first class product and rewarding project experience for each team member.

Though we have operated with informal values throughout our history, in 2017 we decided it was time to formally express our professional values – not as a marketing piece, but to ensure our practices are understood and implemented to the fullest extent. As we embarked thoughtfully on this journey, we found it difficult to narrow our fundamental values down to just five or six keywords. We realized that our values are far more than buzzwords – they are fundamental principles that shape our culture, and guide our work and relationships each day. Leaders from throughout our company gathered in multiple work sessions to explore and define the principles and behaviors that make us unique.

We call these 23 fundamentals, The Steele & Freeman Way. They describe the values and practices that are the foundation of our unique culture and explain how we relate to each other, our clients, partners and vendors. They define who we are, and what drives our extraordinary success. We are proud of our 23 Fundamentals and believe they convey what is truly unique about us as a team and the way we work. As an example, our Fundamental #1 is ‘Sacrifice Everything for Safety.’ Please ask us about our 23 fundamentals and we will show you the Steele & Freeman Way.

We are currently accepting resumes for project superintendents, assistant superintendents, project managers, assistant project managers with commercial construction experience, a part-time/full-time drone pilot, a full-time marketing assistant and a full-time receptionist/administrative assistant.
